Come add your hands to a willow sculpture built by the whole crowd over the day. Last year we wove Martina the goat. This year we are weaving a large willow flower, one rod at a time, between the music and the apples and the good company.

The Community Weave
Everyone adds a rod
This is not a sit-down workshop. It is a large willow sculpture that grows all day, as people wander over from the music, add a few rods, and drift back again. Come by whenever you like, and stay for two minutes or two hours.
Everyone finds a place at it. Children, first-timers, and old hands all weave side by side, and no experience is needed, just a willingness to bend a rod. Last year we wove Martina the goat. This year, we are growing a flower.

Over one long golden day, a pile of willow became a life-size goat, built by whoever stopped to weave. Here is how she came together, from the first frame to her glowing candle eyes after dark.
